For us it’s a beginning to healing, to look forward to the future generations who will gain the tools through educational opportunities, developing an economic base, healthy living, it’s a time to take back the language, traditional ways that were almost wiped out, it’s reclaiming our destiny not by government rule but by our own people. It’s an opportunity to be a part of creating a healthy environment, we can reclaim what we almost lost, our identity of Sayisi Dene and our language.
